DF Capital Partners with Ducati Manchester to Support Greater Manchester Blood Bikes

Specialist motorbike finance provider DF Capital has teamed up with Ducati Manchester to support the Greater Manchester Blood Bikes charity. The collaboration includes a donation of a brand-new Ducati Multistrada V2 S, supplied by Ducati Manchester, to aid the charity in its vital courier services for the NHS. The organisation transports blood, plasma, platelets, samples, vaccines, and donor breast milk across the North West region through its dedicated team of volunteers.

The new Multistrada V2 S will enhance the charity’s fleet and be used by volunteer riders for deliveries to hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Alongside the motorcycle, DF Capital also contributed accessories and £1,500 to cover the first year’s running costs.

DF Capital’s connection to Blood Bikes stems from its partnership with The Milk Bank at Chester, a charity that provides donor breast milk to NHS facilities.

The motorcycle was purchased through Ducati Manchester Group, a long-standing DF Capital customer, at a discounted rate. Carl D’Ammassa, CEO of DF Capital, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative during the handover ceremony: “Manchester Blood Bikes provides a much-needed transportation service for blood, plasma and, importantly to us, donor breast milk. We’ve been thrilled to work with The Milk Bank at Chester, so donating a brand-new Ducati motorcycle to bolster the blood bike fleet is a natural extension for us.”

The donation was officially presented to Russ Harrison, Chair of Greater Manchester Blood Bikes, and Ric Clark, Fleet Manager, at Ducati Manchester’s showroom in Sale.

Greater Manchester Blood Bikes

Greater Manchester Blood Bikes is the only blood bikes charity operating in Greater Manchester that transports Blood, Plasma, Platelets, Samples, Vaccines, Donor Breast Milk (DBM) & any other urgently required medical items to hospitals and healthcare sites- at night, daytime weekends  and bank holidays.

This service is provided completely free of charge by our amazing volunteers who all offer their time for no pay or reward, allowing the NHS to divert funds where they are needed most. We work alongside a network of other blood bike charities covering a large proportion of the country. All working from home, with no expensive office or unit to pay for, the donations we receive directly fund the operation of the service we provide.
